Baška Voda is located about ten miles northwest of Makarska. This place is famous for its long pebble beaches and crystal clear water. In Baška Voda is the baroque church of St. Lovre (built in 1750), fitting a number of medieval grave stones and the parish church of St. Nicholas, built in 1889.
About Baška Voda, on the slopes of the mountains are the places biokovo Bast and Topići, under typical mountain villages with ancient stone houses.
The town of Makarska, with ist 15 000 inhabitans is a cultural, economic and tourist center of the Makarska Riviera.
It originated from a village Makra which was already mentiond in 553 – the present name wears Makarska since 16 Century. The Malacological Museum of the Franciscan monastery in Makarska belong with its attractive collection of marine snails, and shellfish to the largest collection of this species.

West of the Makarska Riviera, one kilometer south of Baška Voda and eight kilometers from Makarska, in thick pine forest and near to the sea, the Tourism complex Baško Bolje is sittuated, in which the hotel and annexes Alem are included. This part of the Adriatic Sea is one of the sunniest areas of the northern Mediterranean, with over 2700 hours of sunshine annually.

The hotel includes 99 double rooms and 9 two-bed apartments, hotel annex with 198 two-bed rooms plus extra bed. All rooms in the hotel and annexes are equiped with balcony. Part of the hotel rooms have sea view while some have park view. Hotel annexes all have sea view. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is served in „buffet“ style, while consists of three menues (the evening before guests choose their menue for the following dinner). During the summer months guests can order meal at the beach restaurant which is serving „a la carte. In the evenings, live music is played at the hotel terrace. As part of the Tourism complex Baško Polje you can find a fruit and vegetable shop as well as a bakery.
On the guests disposal there are placed grounds to play basketball, volleyball, football and skittles.
Parking is located around the hotel and is free of charge for all guests.
